We must remember the lessons of history.
After the tragedy of World War I, England, tired of war, did not rebuild their military.
Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain returned from a meeting with Adolf Hitler, displayed a
written document and declared "peace in our time." Shortly thereafter,
Hitler’s V1 (buzz-bomb) and V2 rockets were destroying much of London. We must
maintain the strongest military in the world and never give control of any part of it to
the United Nations. I would vote for continued research and immediate deployment of the
Strategic Defense Initiative. |
